A simple way to teach it
Before the lesson
Print the one-page adults/teens sheet. Model the exchanges; there is no fixed discussion key, though responses should fit the situation.
- Compare Nice to meet you with See you later. Pair Thank you with You're welcome and a small request with No problem.
- Take turns with the eight prompts, introducing yourselves and asking How are you? Use invented names or places if preferred.
- Act out a cafe attention-getter using Excuse me, then finish with an appropriate goodbye or friendly wish.
Support and extension
Support with two-line dialogue frames. Extend by combining an introduction, a small request and a goodbye without treating every expression as interchangeable.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
