A simple way to teach it

Before the lesson

Set aside the teacher key while learners work through the grouped prompts.

  1. Ask pairs to locate if in each item and separate condition from result before writing.
  2. Compare the two negative results with the train condition to distinguish won't from don't.
  3. Discuss the shop question and the Anna question, then check the complete sentences against the models.

Support and extension

Follow up with an original consequence for one condition. Accept a different natural clause order if every supplied group and the meaning are retained.

Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
