Before the lesson
Review course, subject and curriculum, and distinguish certificate from degree. Explain revise in its test-preparation sense here. Learners can use imagined learning situations instead of disclosing qualifications or grades.
- Attempt the gaps using sentence clues, including whether graduate is needed as a verb.
- Compare responses and check page 2. Practise combinations such as written assignment, useful feedback and writing workshop.
- Discuss the three printed questions, adding an example or reason and responding to a partner's view.
Support and extension
For support, supply brief definitions or group people, courses and learning actions. For an extension, write a short description of an ideal course using selected terms. The once-only bank determines intended gap answers; opinions have no fixed key. Accept different education systems and learning experiences rather than requiring university experience.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
