Roll and Make a Sentence - Present Simple
An A1 roll-and-speak board turns 28 common verbs into present-simple sentences about routines and preferences. The model uses a third-person subject, making subject-verb agreement visible as well as basic sentence order.

Before the lesson
Prepare a die and counters for groups of two to four, with one printed board.
- Contrast I play with my brother plays using the model before the first turn.
- Players add a time or detail to the landed verb and avoid repeating a sentence already heard.
- During feedback, collect useful third-person endings and question any sentence that lacks a subject or complete verb phrase.
Support and extension
Allow I sentences for support; challenge confident players to alternate subjects. The peer check should concern language accuracy, not whether a fictional routine is true.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
