Before the lesson
Separate the task from the key. Review device, software and app, and distinguish backup from storage. No device access is needed; learners should not show passwords, private messages or account details.
- Read the bank and attempt the gaps, checking whether each sentence needs a noun, adjective or verb.
- Compare answers and check page 2. Practise combinations such as security update, wireless connection and cloud storage.
- Discuss the three printed prompts with reasons and examples. Encourage learners to reuse target terms naturally without sharing private information.
Support and extension
For support, group words by meaning or word type before filling gaps. For an extension, write a short description of an imagined device and its uses. The once-only bank constrains answers; discussion responses vary. This is vocabulary practice, not a complete online-security guide.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
