Before the lesson
Keep the two student pages apart from the two-page teacher key.
- Allow an independent attempt, reminding learners only that written transformations must retain the original meaning.
- Use the as-though item to discuss why apparent authorisation does not itself prove the change was authorised.
- Compare the head of the contaminated-samples subject with its intervening clause, then revisit agreement if needed.
Support and extension
A later parallel task can reveal whether a correction transferred. Treat the label as target practice difficulty, not proof that the learner has reached C2.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
