Before the lesson
Invite fictional families or an admired caregiver instead of personal family disclosure. Do not assume every learner has a father in their life or that one family structure is best.
- Describe a father figure or another relevant caregiver through a specific act of care.
- Develop an answer about responsibilities or family structures, explaining a possible advantage without ranking families.
- Use page 2's models to revise the changing-roles answer so a family example is not treated as proof about every society.
Support and extension
Offer One quality I admire is... because.... Extend by comparing an expectation in two generations while acknowledging variation. The models are possible viewpoints, not parenting instructions; assess reasons and respectful language.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
