Before the lesson
Clarify greed, ambition and immoral. Keep amounts and financial experiences fictional if preferred; no learner needs to disclose income or spending.
- Explain a view about money and happiness with a concrete example and a limitation.
- Write about imagined wealth using if + past form and would, then support a position on greed or billionaires.
- Compare with page 2's possible answers and revise a sweeping claim such as all evil into a more precise argument.
Support and extension
Support with Money can... but it cannot.... Extend by distinguishing ambition from greed. Different well-supported positions are valid; the models are not economic evidence or financial advice.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
