Before the lesson
Review service, meal, takeaway and price expressions. Learners may use an imagined venue or a place selling a simple snack.
- Read the prompts and identify what each asks. Model one full-sentence response, then keep page 2 for checking after learners attempt their own answers.
- Write answers about habits and preferences, then add reasons to recommendation and comparison answers.
- Optionally share one recommendation while a partner asks a follow-up about the food or service.
Support and extension
Do not require expensive dining experience. An unnamed restaurant is fine for negative examples. Page 2 models possible opinions; claims about healthy food or the best pizza are not fixed facts. For support, provide a few sentence starters or let learners rehearse orally first. Use the models to notice useful language while preserving each learner's own meaning.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
