A simple way to teach it

Before the lesson

Arrange a 25-30-minute independent attempt with only student pages visible.

  1. Ask learners to read both sections before starting so they leave time for the eight written responses.
  2. In the key, contrast enjoy walking with the passive library sentence and the earlier-past show context.
  3. Use the relative-clause rewrite as a discussion point: which information identifies the teacher, and what must stay in the sentence?

Support and extension

Plan practice around the least secure target family rather than reteaching every item. No validated B1 pass threshold is supplied.

Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
