Before the lesson
Print pages 1-2 for learners and keep the two answer pages for analysis.
- Allow 25-35 minutes without reference materials, making clear that a blank is preferable to outside help.
- After marking, compare item 1 with 13, 2 with 14 and the remaining matched pairs to distinguish recognition from production.
- Select one priority from a pair of responses and build a short task with new people or objects.
Support and extension
The 24-point total is not a CEFR placement result. Even two correct answers for a target are only a small sample, so confirm with fresh examples.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
