Before the lesson
Prepare only the two student pages for the test and retain the answer commentary.
- Give an independent attempt, preserving the contrast between a selected answer and a written response.
- Use the present-continuous opening and the paired short answer to see whether learners can produce the auxiliary and -ing form themselves.
- Return to articles, dates or object pronouns where the key and learner evidence indicate a gap.
Support and extension
Compare error families with earlier work rather than declare improvement from a small numerical change. The beginner label organises grammar scope, not certified learner level.
